PROCESS : FAT MELTING

Melting fat is a continuous process designed to treat waste fat from slaughterhouses and butchers.

Fats, previously grinded in a chopper, are melted by injecting live steam into the material and in the jacketed melting tube.

The fat is then centrifuged and the solids dried in a disc dryer.

Treated appropriately and respecting the cold chain, the fat so obtained is used primarily for human consumption.
