PROCESS : FAT TREATMENT

SIL has developed specific unit operations to treat fat complying with norms and regulations in force. One or more unit operations are necessary depending on the use of the fat

Filtration :

The technology of pressure filtration offered by SIL reduces the impurities in fat to lower than 10 ppm depending on the characteristics of the solids retained on the filter. This technology replaces the horizontal centrifuge separation technology.

Sterilization:

The technology proposed is based on a fully automated semi-continuous process such as in meal sterilization. This allows an easy control of all sterilization parameters.

Drying :

The SIL continuous drying technology is done by pulverizing the fat in a 100 mbar absolute pressure enclosure. This reduces the water content to 0,01%.
