Very similar to the continuous disc dryer, the continuous disc cooker is a cooking dehydration equipment by direct contact of the material on the hot walls of the rotor discs.
It provides a large processing capacity in minimum space.
In this case, the material is dried and baked in a bath of hot fat.
The excellent heat transfer between the disks and the material is obtained through the grease bath. The unloading of the dried product is done continuously through a hole in the upper flange of the device at the opposite end of the feed.
Fat entrained with the dehydrated product is separated into a drain screw and recycled into the cooker, if necessary.
The low speed rotor ensures a long service life with minimal maintenance.
