SIL provides its customers with biomass boilers offering the following benefits:

Good combustion efficiency

The combustion technology proposed has two options depending upon the type of biomass to be burnt:

  •  either with a pre-combustion chamber, for biomasses large in size and with high residual ashes, followed by full combustion in a cyclonic chamber
  • either by direct combustion in a cyclonic chamber for biomasses small in size than can be transported pneumatically

These facilities allow complete combustion of biomass with low excess oxygen (4%). The expected combustion efficiency is over 90% of the incoming net calorific value.
