PROCESS : FLUE GAS TREATMENT

Operating principle

Processes valorizing wastes generate among other things fumes loaded with different pollutants.

SIL provides various methods of treatment:

  • Dry treatment
  • Wet treatment
  • Semi-wet treatment

The selection the appropriate process will  depend on the type and concentration of pollutants to be captured, the type of waste treatment and the limits imposed by EU directives and legislation against air pollution.
To meet the requirements of emission values of NOx, SIL offers a complement of SNCR or SCR systems.

Specificities of the different processes

The flue gas treatment are schematically of three types:

  • Dry system with electro-filter or multi-cyclone and/or bag filter
  • Semi-wet system with evaporation / absorption tower and then electro-filters and/or bag filter
  • Wet system with electro-filter or multi-cyclone filter in front and fumes scrubbers downstream
  • The wet and semi-wet processes are often implemented for high capacity facilities (incineration lines greater than 5 tons / hour)
  • The dry treatment is more reserved for smaller capacity so perfectly adapted to the incineration of sludge.

Combining skills in the areas of filtration and pneumatic conveying, SIL is able to offer complete packages of new units or upgrade older ones. In collaboration with various manufacturing partners, we have the expertise and experience of the construction of bag filters with speed lower than 400,000 Nm3 / h. We can also offer bag filters units that can be installed quickly at the outlet of a boiler or cooling tower with limited immobilization of the process line.

Reactifs injections

The reagents to be injected into the bag filters are:

  • lime + active carbon or dioxorb
  • sodium carbonate + active carbon or dioxorb

Other combinations are also possible.

Transport of ash and REFIOM

Combining skills in mechanical and pneumatic handling as well as in storage, SIL is able to offer complete systems.
